Three PGA TOUR rookies will participate at the 2010 PGA Championship: Rory McIlroy,
Rickie Fowler and Derek Lamely. McIlroy finished T3 last year at Hazeltine National GC in his
PGA Championship debut. This year’s PGA Championship will be the first for both Fowler and
Lamely.
Vijay Singh, who won his third and last major at the 2004 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits,
will compete in his TOUR-best 66th consecutive major this week. The last major Singh missed was
the 1994 U.S. Open at Oakmont GC. Mike Weir is second behind Singh as he competes this week
in his 47th consecutive major, dating back to the 1999 U.S. Open.
